How we protect your data.

Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, including backups. Each household's data is also isolated from other households at several independent layers.

Household data is stored on servers in Sweden. The services we use for sign-in, notifications and subscriptions may process account details outside the EU.

You sign in with your Google or Apple account. EpiHem stores no passwords.

AI reads receipts and imports recipes. Processing takes place within the EU and content is not permanently stored by the AI provider. Our AI providers do not use your data to train their models.

You delete your account in the app settings. Personal data is deleted within 14 days. One exception: Premium invoice records are kept for seven years under Swedish bookkeeping law, disassociated from your account. Data created in a household belongs to the household and remains for the members who stay, but the link to you is anonymized.
